FEBRUARY 10, 2018

The Trayvon Martin Foundation holds its Annual Peace Walk and Peace Talk community event in February. Peace Walk participants include youth, community activists, faith leaders, and celebrities.  The Walk also includes families who have lost a child to senseless gun violence. All participants will be walking together in solidarity as a testament to the right that all people should be able to walk freely without being pursued, chased, profiled or shot and killed on their streets. Walk begins 9:00 am at Carol City Park 3201 NW 185th street, FL 33054.

The Peace Talk, held after the Peace Walk, engages the community in a discussion of ideas/experiences and possible plans of action to empower youth and curtail violence.

The event is a community engagement activity, where youth, community leaders and celebrities can engage in honest and informative discussion pertaining to empowering our youth and overcoming violence in our neighborhoods.

The South Florida Peace Walk and Talk is a result of families rising up and choosing to serve, love, and to connect, regardless of what predicaments or situations they face in their communities. The Peace Talk takes place at Betty T Ferguson Center following the Peace Walk at 3000 NW 199th Street Miami Gardens 33056.
